Homeroom Program

Rationale

The classroom is the home base of students.  The homeroom, a unit of school organization is managed by teacher-designated homeroom adviser, whose role in the program is very significant. 

The homeroom is an effective approach to student development since it acts as the complimentary force that supports the academic program of the school.  Hence, for the homeroom period to be effective, a program was designed to facilitate the management of every activity conducted during homeroom period. 

Objectives

First Year

  • To be familiar with the new environment

  • To know whom to approach for her/his needs and problems

  • To follow school regulations and do things with the least assistance

  • To understand oneself and others better

  • To participate in group activities

  • To be aware of the world of work in the community

  • To understand the variety and cluster of occupations in the community

Second Year

  • To develop a well balanced school life

  • To develop positive attitude and study habits

  • To maintain wholesome relationships with others

  • To develop an interest and involvement in extra curricular activities

  • To choose a field of specialization

  • To be aware of one's own interests
