The Center for Transformative Social Work Education (CTSWE) of Assumption College of Davao headed by its Program Dean, Meriam D. Estrada, RSW, MSW, along with the Social Work Faculty, conducted its online training on Field Education Supervision Training last 26 th day of February 2022 via Zoom Meeting. It was attended by ten (10) Agency Field Supervisors from their agency partners. The resource speakers were Charlyn T. Gambe, RSW, MSSW, Kristi Lou S. Taming, RSW, Florie May B. Tacang, RSW, MSW, and an external RP from Ateneo de Davao University, Prof. Joanaros P. Fahit, RSW, MSSW.
The Center recognizes the significance of supervision in field instruction as an essential process for a successful preparation of social work students for beginning generalist social work practice. Ultimately, it considers field supervision as a developmental step in the career path of social work students soon to become Social Work practitioners.
